A fundamental principle—a ‘grassroots’ rule—for discovering truth is to examine the evidence and follow it where it leads.

Too often, we believe something to be true based on false assumptions—something we’ve heard or read that we accept without examining the evidence or evaluating the reasons behind it. As a lifelong learner, I’ve encountered a lot of evidence and reasons both for and against things I believed to be true. As a result, many of my long-held beliefs have been confirmed and reinforced. Others have been challenged, and some have been changed.  I believe the key to successful learning is to remain teachable, no matter how much you already know. Changing your mind is not a sign of weakness     even some of the most highly-esteemed scholars and theologians throughout history have changed their minds at times, so that puts us all in good company!

As you consider the content you find here, you may discover your long-held beliefs are confirmed, challenged, or changed. Whether you’re a Jesus follower, a seeker, or a skeptic, I invite you to consider the claims, examine the evidence, and come to your own conclusions.
